Direct Line for Business’s Telematics smartphone app is a great tool to help you do this and improve your driving. The free app monitors and assesses driving behaviour, and can save users as much as 15% off insurance premiums on completing 300 recorded miles.
Designed for van drivers, the DrivePlus Van app uses telematics to monitor speed, cornering and braking forces. The app gives you an instant record at the end of each journey, and an overall score from 0 to 100. The higher score, the better the driver – and vice versa.
Drivers can then improve their score by driving sensibly to the conditions of the road, braking and accelerating smoothly, having good road anticipation, and keeping their speeding down.
DrivePlus is available now for all phones running Apple iOS 6 and above and Android 2.2 (Froyo) or later.
